جامعه بی‌حکومت
جامعۀ بی‌حکومت جامعه‌ای است که حکومتی آن را اداره نمی‌کند. در جوامع بی‌حکومت اقتدار تمرکز کمی دارد؛ بیشتر مناصب اقتداری که وجود دارند خیلی قدرت محدودی دارند و عموماً دائمی نیستند. بدنۀ اجتماعی که اختلافات را براساس مقررات از پیش تعیین شده حل می‌کند کوچک‌اند. [1]
جوامع بی‌حکومت در سازمان اقتصادی و امور فرهنگی شدیداً متفاوت‌اند.[2]
