رمی براگ

براگ ابتدا در دانشگاه سوربن پاریس تحصیلات دانشگاهیش را آغاز کرد. در فاصله سال‌های ۱۹۸۷–۱۹۸۵ در مدرسه زبان‌های شرقی پاریس شروع به آموختن زبان عربی نمود. آموختن زبان عربی در کنار زبان عبری، لاتین، یونانی، فرانسوی و آلمانی توانایی زیادی در بررسی فلسفه سیاسی جهان پیشامدرن، مخصوصاً قرون میانه ادیان ابراهیمی به او داده است. او کتاب‌های متعددی را دربارهٔ رابطه عقل و ایمان، تاریخ فکری قرون وسطی و دین نوشته است. از کتاب‌های اصلی او که به زبان انگلیسی ترجمه شده است کتاب قانون الهی: تاریخ فلسفی یک ایده می‌باشد. در این کتاب وی مضامین متفاوت قانون الهی در سنت‌های مسیحی، اسلامی و یهودی را بررسی می‌نماید. از طرف دیگر تفاوت دریافت ادیان ابراهیمی از خداوند با فلاسفه یونانی را بررسی می‌کند. در کتاب خرد گیتی، به نگاه یونانیان به جهان به مثابه کلی منسجم و جامع که مدلی برای نیکی به مثابه راهنمایی بهتر زیستن می باشد، پرداخته است. تفاوت و دگرگونی این مفهوم در جهان مدرن در تضاد با عصر ماقبل جدید، بررسی می‌شود. رمی براگ عمیقاً از لئو اشتراوس تأثیر پذیرفته است. اگرچه خود را در حلقه اشتراوس تعریف نمی‌نماید.
