کربوکسیل‌استراز ۲ (به انگلیسی: Carboxylesterase 2) یک پروتئین است که در انسان توسط ژن «CES2» کُدگذاری می‌شود.[3][4][5] این پروتئین عضوی از ابرخانواده هیدرولاز آلفا/بتا است.[6]

این آنزیم متعلق به خانواده‌ای از آنزیم‌هاست که سبب هیدرولیز داروهای حاوی پیوندهای استری و آمیدی همچون کوکائین و هروئین می‌گردند. این خانوادهٔ آنزیمی می‌توانند سبب تجزیهٔ اسید چرب با زنجیرهٔ بلند و تیواسترها نیز بشوند. عملکرد خاص این آنزیم هنوز به‌خوبی مشخص نیست، اما احتمال دارد که کربوکسیل‌استرازها در سوخت‌وساز چربی و در ساختمان سد خونی مغزی نقش داشته باشند. دو گونه پیرایش دگرسان برای برای ژن «CES2» کشف شده‌است که یک پروتئین واحد را می‌سازند.[5]
