این رود که در شهرستان منچستر بزرگ جریان دارد از یورک‌شر غربی سرچشمه میگیرد و پس از طی ۴۷.۷ کیلومتر[1] به رود مرزی می‌ریزد. رود تیم در ارتفاع ۴۰ متری از سطح دریا قرار دارد.[2]
