اطلاعات نادرست

اطلاعات نادرست یا اطلاعات غلط (به انگلیسی: Misinformation) اطلاعات نادرست یا غیر دقیق است.[1] نمونه‌هایی از اطلاعات نادرست عبارتند از شایعات نادرست یا توهین و شوخی است، و نمونه‌های عمدی تر اطلاعات نادرست شامل محتوای مخرب مانند حقه و تبلیغات از طریق رسانه می‌شود.[2] تأثیرات اصلی آن افزایش ترس و سوءظن در بین عموم مردم است.[3]
