باسیل گری

باسیل گری (به انگلیسی: Basil Gray) (زاده ۱۹۰۴؛ درگذشته ۱۹۸۹) تاریخ‌دان، اسلام‌شناس، نویسنده و مدیر بخش شرق‌شناسی موزه بریتانیا بود. او در ۱۹۰۴ در کنسینگتون به دنیا آمد. فرزند چالرز گری و وفلورنس الوورثی بود. پدرش جراح Royal Army Medical Corps بود. او در کالج بردفیلد پذیرفته شد و در دهه ۱۹۲۰ میلادی در نیو کالج دانشگاه آکسفورد تحصیل کرد. رومن گیرشمن باستان‌شناس، او را در سال ۱۹۵۱ به ایران به منظور مطالعه و کاوش آثار باستانی شوش دعوت کرد.[1]
